Consent to Electronic Records and Signatures

What you are agreeing to

Oaktree Funding Corp. (“Oaktree,” “we,” “us”) uses electronic records and electronic signatures for the documents involved in applying, onboarding, and participating in our downline program through Canopy — including the employment application, employment and downline agreements, tax withholding forms, direct-deposit authorization, and related notices and disclosures (the “Documents”). By giving your consent, you agree that we may provide the Documents to you electronically and that you may sign them electronically, and that your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN) and applicable state law, including the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act.

How electronic signing works

Documents are delivered to the email address you gave us and signed through our electronic-signature provider. When you sign, the provider records your name, email address, the date and time, and the Internet Protocol (IP) address used, and produces a signed copy and a signature certificate. That record is our evidence of your signature.

Hardware and software you need

To receive and sign Documents electronically you need: a device with Internet access; a current version of a common web browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox); a valid email address; and software that can open PDF files (such as Adobe Acrobat Reader or your browser’s built-in viewer). To keep copies you also need the ability to download or print. If our requirements change in a way that creates a material risk you cannot access your Documents, we will tell you.

Your right to paper copies

You may request a paper copy of any Document we provided electronically, at no charge, by emailing onboarding@oaktreefunding.com. You can also download and print your signed Documents from the signing emails at any time.

Withdrawing your consent

You may withdraw your consent to electronic records and signatures at any time by emailing onboarding@oaktreefunding.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the validity of Documents you already signed electronically. If you withdraw consent, we will provide the remaining Documents on paper, which may delay your onboarding.

Keeping your contact information current

You are responsible for keeping a valid email address on file with us so we can deliver Documents. If your email address changes, tell us at onboarding@oaktreefunding.com.

How you give consent

You consent to electronic records and signatures by submitting the Canopy application, and again each time you sign a Document electronically. By doing so you confirm that you can access and read this consent and the Documents electronically, and that you have the hardware and software described above.
